Jews in Voehl

Vöhl had a large Jewish community until the Nazi era. Over 15 % of the population were Jewish. The synagogue, the Jewish cemetery and houses formerly inhabited by Jews in the town are reminders of this period. Documents from archives and visits by former Vöhl Jews and their descendants make this history tangible.
