The Marburger Geschichtswerkstatt has published a book about the Baer family : The History of the Jewish Baer Family from Arolsen . In the Baer family especially Karl Baer is mentioned, who was assigned to the female gender by the registry office in 1885. At the turn of the year 1906/07, he was one of the first to succeed in obtaining the subsequent correction of his gender identity by the authorities. He also wrote an autobiography , which is available again.
