Remembering the deportation of Jews from the district

Compilation by Karl-Heinz Stadtler

On June 1, 1942, 43 Jews from Waldeck-Frankenberg were deported from Kassel to Sobibor and Majdanek. Most of them were gassed to death in the Sobibor extermination camp. A few men who were able to work were left alive for a few more weeks in the Majdanek concentration camp.
